TGFT, and the time of my life

There will always be conflicting opinins about various guilds and perhaps TGFT will always be the most hotly, albeit secertly debated. UAN has recently had the chance to interview a pilot who was willing to talk about his experiences with a few TGFT pilots.

"Yeah, I know a few TGFT'er... I got my pilots clearance around the same time as John Eldritch, he's a helluva nice guy... no matter what any one says about him or his guild. In fact, every one in TGFT I ever dealt with seemed pretty nice but John is the only one I ever really connected with. I don't recollect for certain, but I'm pretty sure we used to hunt hive queens together. Then theres Moda... for an insane miner he's pretty good at computer trouble shooting and he's helped me out a few times when certain systems in my Atlas were on the outs. Theres been a few of 'em that had helped me out, now obviously I can't speak to the character of all TGFT... I hear that Surb is a real sack of garbage, but I think its all a put on. He, (in my opinion)... is just one of those guys that thinks its 'cool' to be bitter and jaded and express it in derogatory ways. Which is a shame on three fronts...

 1. No one will ever know the 'real' Surb.

 2. It drives people away from him.

and 3. it could reflect poorly on TGFT, but even though I hear he is not well liked, even by his guild mates... I don't think any one judges TGFT solely on his attitudes. I myself, I did'nt like the idea of having to take orders from him so I never applied for membership, but then again... I'm not attached to any guild and I like it that way. I'm my own man and I plan on being unattached for a long time, besides I don't see the pay off of joining a guild. Plenty of pilots do fine on their own."

[The name of this pilot is with held at his request for purposes of security]

I too... (like many of you), have heard a veritable orgy  of reasons people like or dislike, love or hate TGFT... everything from jealousy and rivalry to general distrust of large rich orginizations. Yes, rumors and inuendo fly like plasma bolts from an AGT when it comes to TGFT and undoubtedly there are some truths out there among the stars.

The fact of the matter is simply that TGFT is a large, rich and secretive guild... fertile ground for sowing the seeds of rumor and distrust, and while it is highly unlikely that all the rumors are true... it is almost a certainty that some are, but only TGFT knows for sure which rumors fall into what column.

SERCO CONTEMPLATE DENEB STATION

The Serco military has, given high losses in Deneb

started to consider the construction of a new battle station

on the Deneb  side of the GR/Deneb worm hole.

one Serco admiral speaking on the condition of

anonymity stated...

"The biggest problem is not numbers, both our military

and that of the Itani are of a similar size. The only real obstacle

we face is distance and time. Any combat tested veteran, hell

any rookie right out of flight school can tell you, the course of

a battle can change in mere seconds."

What the admiral spoke of is the fact that the Itani have

several stations in Deneb, allowing for their pilots and capital

ships to join a battle in mere seconds. Where as the Serco

pilots and capitol ships must travel from GR to Deneb and

then once in Deneb to the sector in which the battle is taking

place. Thus time, quite literally is on the side of the Itani.

Though no final approval of a Serco Deneb station has been

given, the idea does seem to be gaining momentum.

Other ideas include doubling production of capital ships and

quadrupling  production of light and heavy fighters, thus

allowing the military to allocate more man power to Deneb

with out weakening other military operations.

MYSTERIOUS "MEGAVOY"

In recent weeks traders and Pirates alike have reported

seeing what can only be described as a huge "Megavoy"

deep into the darkest areas of Grey space. The exact

number of ships is hard to determine but in one instance

it was reported that the "megavoy" was at least one

hundred and ten ships strong... 30 Behemoths,

20 Atlases, 10 Centaurs and 50 various fighter craft.

The owners and pilots of this "megavoy" are unknown as are their motives but it does appear that some group or collection of groups is trying to extend the limits of their trade and/or influence.

The sheer enormity of this "megavoy" was such that one of the two pirates that bore witness  to it, was to awe struck to attack.

The other pirate was summarily killed when his ship was struck with approximately 97383 rounds from various AGTs, 38 Sun flare rockets, 341 shots from various neutron and positron blasters and 1 round from a TPG Sparrow.
